On 14 November, Daniel has declared New Opencart Extension Scheme, that says automatic updates available up to one year only. That means when any customer purchases an Opencart extension from market they get able to receive free and automatic update but after 12 months they need to purchase another license from the market to get automatic update. This extension scheme may be implementing with the launching of Opencart 2.0 which may release in this year or next year.

Opencart has become more famous and convenient for developer who used Opencart to promote their online selling. When Opencart license of developer becomes one year old they need to purchase another license but at the same time they are not getting new clients. So this scheme mitigates to developer.
